LOVE yourself challenge: Five weeks to Valentine's Day!

This year, why not be your own Valentine? NOW is the time to start planning your Valentine's gift to yourself.

The holidays are behind us, the last candies and cakes have been hoovered up (or left in the common area at work), and we've started tackling our ambitious New Year's resolutions.

As many of us have already learned, general resolutions can quickly fall away, while reasonable, quantifiable ones ("small wins") can be pursued and achieved. So where would you like to be five weeks from now, on Valentine's Day? Five pounds lighter? With decent focus, a pound a week is healthy and not terribly difficult.

Or, would you like to be doing five more reps (or five more minutes) of your most difficult exercise? Maybe you'd like to have one percent less body fat. Break it down and schedule it by week; commit to increasing (or decreasing) by one unit per week starting today, and you'll be there on Valentine's Day.

Best of all, it costs nothing to join this challenge, and you can join at any time. I'll put up reminders each week until Valentine's Day to record our progress to our goals, and I'll include links to past weeks' posts.

Who's in?

Note #1: Some of you have replied "put me down for x pounds". I won't be entering or logging or tracking your progress; it's all self-driven and managed on your side. Just come back here every week to get inspiration from others and leave a comment about your progress. Good luck!

Note #2: Although this is a Thursday-to-Thursday challenge, I'm posting on Wednesdays to dovetail with Weigh-in Wednesdays.
