In the past 10 months I have lost 80lbs. To lose the weight I have followed CICO and become slightly more active. Even though I understand that 80lbs is a lot of weight, I can’t really see or feel my weighloss most days. I still see myself as just as fat as I was at 283.
When I hit 80lbs lost I had a revelation: my weighloss is now equal to the weight of my dog. My pup is a solid 80lbs of fluff and muscle. I grumble about how heavy she is every time I put her on the table to be groomed. I decided to pick her up so I could really feel the difference that 80lbs makes. She’s so heavy! I can’t believe I used to carry her equivalent in fat around everyday. Even though I can’t really see my weighloss I now cannot deny that my weightloss is substantial. From now on I know I can just pick up my pup as a reminder of how far I have come. I still have about 45lbs before I hit my goal weight so there is plenty of work to be done, but I’m getting closer.
