I can’t even tell you how many times I tried to dedicate myself to these strict schedules of work outs and pounds lost by x date, only to come short, feel like a failure, and give up.
I lost 60 lbs the second half of 2018 just by getting at least 3 workouts in a week on whatever days work and finding a diet sustainable for me (keto and intuitive eating/intermittent fasting). My only goal was to approach new “decades” of weight each month and sometimes I lost less and sometimes I lost more.
If you’re like me and constantly mad at yourself because you once again for the sixth week in a row didn’t get to the gym before work, then stop going to the gym before work. Find a time and activity you can stick to and go with it.
I did biking on trails, Couch to 5k and am now on a half marathon app.
