A one week victory - excited for the weeks to come

I have failed year after year to meet my new years resolutions but I am determined that won't be the case this year. One week in and I am down 1.8 lbs. I am weighing myself every morning because weight fluctuations fascinate me but I only really care about the weekly numbers. I did notice my weight crept up over the weekend. I am great about meal prepping during the week but my downfalls are snacking in the evening after dinner, controlling portion sizes when cheese and/or pasta are involved, and eating healthy on the weekends.

I am a runner and training for a marathon in April so I am doing 5 days of running per week but I am finally incorporating weight training by going to the gym for 30 min during lunch to lift. It's not mlm uch but it's a start! I really want to loose 15 lbs and decrease body fat percentage by my marathon. I weigh 5lbs more than I did when I ran my best time so my goal is to be 10lbs less for this one and improve my time.

I just neede to share with someone to keep me going. Here's to achieving goals this year r/loseit!
