1 month down a lifetime to go.

I am new to this subreddit but I am loving it here. I check it everyday to get motivation and tips.

I am 22, female and 5 ft 9.5 inches (176.5 cm).

This past December I reached my heaviest ever and decided enough was enough. On the 29th of December I weighed in at 94.1 kg (207.45 lbs). Going over that 200 lbs mark scared me and I dreaded that I would go over 100 kg. I was at a BMI of 30.20. My family has always struggled with weight and I don't want that struggle for the rest of my life.

I know I am not horrendously over weight but I am not happy with my fitness and I don't want it to get worse. Although I am quite a few years away from having children I want to be the healthiest I can be before I get pregnant.

My goal weight is 70 kg (154.32 lbs, BMI 22.46)

As of today I am 90.3 kg (199.08 lbs, BMI 28.98) and I am so proud of myself for loosing 3.8 kg (8.38 lbs)! It has proved that I can do it.

While me and my boyfriend have been going to gym and lifting weights again the main way I have been losing weight is calorie counting! Calories in and calories out, me and my partner keep having conversations of how simple it is and why haven't we done it before. I have been aiming for a -1000 calorie deficit a day doesn't always happen but that's okay. To help with this I also got a Fitbit at Christmas and it has done me the world of good.

Thank you, this subreddit really is life changing.
