Prenatal Workouts are a Great Place to Start

In the past I’ve tried doing some pilates or yoga workouts but I felt like I was too round to do some of the exercises. I had no idea if I was doing them correctly (I just felt like a ball) or they were to advanced (no way I can support all my weight on my elbows alone).

Since getting pregnant I’ve done some pilates and yoga workouts on YouTube and it’s been great! They assume you are round, uncoordinated, and get winded quickly! They take it slow and let you go at your own pace - the important part is getting your heart rate up!

I plan on working on getting my heart rate up and getting in the habit of working out regularly. Who knows maybe I’ll be able to move onto something more advanced postpartum or maybe I’ll stick with my prenatal workouts. But either way I think it’s a great way to get started and maybe it will help some of you non-pregnant people too.
