485lbs and beyond ready to drop weight

I was recently at the doctors office, where while the doctor wasn't around, I managed to weigh myself on a heavy duty scale they had. I can't say I was shocked at the number as I knew I was somewhere in the 400's, but I honestly didn't expect to be quite as close to 500 as I found out I am. I'm 28 years old and obesity has absolutely robbed me of any semblance of a normal life I otherwise could of had. I have missed out on all of the major keystone moments any young developing adult should of/could of had because of the obesity. And not even necessarily because of the physical component, but rather the psychological one. It destroys your mind and robs you of all motivation. I am not the person I could of been had I just practiced some self-control. Please don't try to comfort me by telling me I'm still young-- I'm not!-- and that I still have time for things. There is no making me feel better about the past.

I'm now, at this insane weight, beyond ready to drop all this damn weight. I have tried and failed many times. The closest I got was dropping 40 pounds on paleo a few years ago, but it just wasn't longterm sustainable for me at that point in life. Now however I'm so over all the shitty food I've eaten that I'm happy to go "cold turkey" cutting all the crap out and adapting a whole new diet, if for no other reason other than my palette dying for a change. I can't stand the tastes and textures of all the crap I've been poisoning myself with for the better part of three decades. Beyond that, I'm just in a white hot rush to get fit so that I can actually do things. I want to travel, walk around forests, have sex, keep up conversations without running out of breath, maybe even play some sports or do some martial arts. I've always been a big fan of the outdoors and would love to someday climb a mountain or go on big long hikes/treks.

Please don't tell me to go consult a doctor or dietician or someone else, because frankly I'm too lazy to do that. Just tell me what to do NOW and I will start immediately.

My friend last year who used to be a trainer put me on a diet loosely resembling this:

Breakfast- 2 eggs hard boiled or scrambled, 4 strips turkey bacon, small bowl of shreddies (don't drink the milk). He also suggested multivitamins, but I stopped taking those.

Lunch- 2 large chicken breasts and brown rice with broccoli (or something similar)

Dinner- I never really made it to dinner and can't remember what was suggested.

He also suggested snacks between the meals, which usually were a cup of yoghurt with almonds or raspberries.

I didn't mind the diet and braved it for a month before the monotony got to me. I need more variety. I was given a slew of recipes by him and another trainer friend, but the prep was killing it. Shopping and prep became my life and took up all my time. I know that will inevitably be required and will make a big effort to just do it this time around.

I know, roughly, what to do for diet. But beyond that, what should I be doing physically to kickstart the shedding process?

I absolutely hate walking- always have-, but am ready to throw down, suck it up, and start marching.

Took decades to accumulate this weight and logically I know it's gonna' be a long, tiring, trying, and tedious process to ditch it, but suddenly there's just a fire under my ass to get started NOW. I don't want to wait until next week or even tomorrow. I want to start now.

Obesity has robbed me of absolutely everything. I can't even begin to list all of the ways I've suffered due to it. It is no way to live. There is no one to blame but myself. I owe it to myself to get in shape and start living life.

I am planning a big 30th birthday trip to Japan a year from today and would like to ideally drop at least a hundred pounds by then (150 would be awesome, but probably not realistic) and get into somewhat better shape, where I can at least tolerate walking a few km's without being drenched in sweat and out of breath, having my heart pounding.

It is a great big ambitious task that I've got to overcome, but I am ready now more than ever.

I have made similar posts in this very group in the past with just as much conviction, but not gone through with anything.

My situation has changed and I now have much more time to "do me". Please help.
