U.S. Smoking Rates Hit Record Low

U.S. smoking rates have fallen to the lowest levels ever, federal health officials say. Among adult smokers, the smoking rate fell from 15.5 percent in 2016 to 14 percent in 2017. That rate was 67 percent lower than it was in 1965.
