31/M/178-180, 5'10 1/2. Have been on cico at a seemingly slow rate since like April. This is my second go around. I did it in 2016/17 and went from 264 to 155. I managed to get back up to like 210-219 and decided I need to get back on track. This time I have been a lot more lenient about "cheat days" and maintenance days so progress has been slower. I'm ok with that. However I've been on a plateau for a month and now and am starting to get a little annoyed. Today is my 7th day at 1500. Last Sunday I ate at maintenance. For 6 days before that I ate 1500. 2-3 of the rest of the days of the rest of the time out of those 4 weeks I ate whatever felt like. So really I have been at a defecit for way more than anything else and yet I just can't move past 178 for some reason. I weigh every day and it constantly bounces back and forth between 177.8 or so and 180 point whatever. IDK why. Previously if I'd have a cheat or maintenance day the scale would go up for 2 or 3 days and then swoosh back down to where it was and then some accordingly. For whatever reason that just stopped happening. I am sedentary as I'm not working but I did recently start wearing a fitbit and often activley try to get my 10,000 steps. The past 2 weeks I've gotten 2 or 3 days of 10,000 and every other is like 5-8 so I'm not completely inactive and I can see a good guage of what I'm burning with MFP and Fitbit linked and synced. Furthermore I have the negative calories adjustment turned on so it's even more accurate. Most days im left with a positive extra calories amount of about 3-500 it says I shojld be able to eat on top of my 1500. I don't of course. Also I drink about 67-85 oz of water a day as well as black cofee which I basically consider water lol. Anyways I'm considering dropping to 1200 to more match my TDEE for a 1000 cal defecit without the excercise being considered. I've been waiting for that swoosh to happen like maybe I'd catch up and be down 4 pounds one day or something? But at this rate it seems like after a month of work I'm only gonna be down 2 which is really odd not to mention dissapointing considering the work I've done. I know males arent recommended to go below 1500. Should i risk it or not? Any advice and or input? I appreciate it. Thank you.
