My body is telling me not to go to the gym

Im struggling a bit. I’ve been trying to get to the gym a minimum of 2x a week, I’m a beginner so I’ve been doing what I feel I can handle without over exerting myself and causing bodily injury. This week has been all over the place with work meetings and people being sick and needing shifts covered, so I haven’t really had the time to get to the gym. My plan was to go today, however, I woke up this morning and I could feel a Charlie horse just waiting in my calf muscle, (which was almost expected, I’m a server and I worked a 9 hour consecutive double yesterday) so I’m not sure if I should go to the gym today, and maybe just give my body a rest day.

Any advice on maybe some light workouts I could do at home so I can still get my exercise in? Or if I do go to the gym some form of cardio that isn’t going to stress out my calf muscle?

Thanks!
