Any tips for a newbie with a lot of weight to lose?

Hi! So lately I have been feeling really horrible about myself. Like terrible. I can barely look at myself in the mirror. My family comments on my weight all the time and it makes me feel like crap. To be fair I am about 100 pounds overweight right now but it’s just so hard for me to restrict. I’m dealing with mental health problems at the moment, and it feels like food is one of the only things that makes me consistently happy. What are some tips for dieting and staying on track that you guys have? At this point in my life I know that I need to make changes in order to be happier with myself. Thanks in advance!
