although it may not seem like much, i did something today that made me feel proud

i was in my uni's cafeteria, and there's two food chain restaurants there, moes and starbucks. there was absolutely no one on line at either of them, and since it's always so crowded, i was tempted to get something from there. i went up to the cashier but at the very last second i changed my mind. i knew that eating nachos would make myself temporarily happy, but within 30 minutes, i'd feel miserable and regretful. (i've been on a diet for about a month and so far lost 10 pounds, but there are times when i cave into cravings so i'm still fighting that)

so i turned around, went to the other section, and bought a rye sandwich with tuna salad and a water bottle.

it was such a minuscule thing, but i still feel happy i did it. and it made me even happier when i saw my friends waiting for me and giving me a thumbs up for choosing the healthier option. sometimes to be motivated, all you need is friends.
