Body changes after stopped drinking wine for 50 days

It's been about 50 days total that I have gone without any alcohol (after a 15 year daily bottle-a-night habit)

Today I put on a shirt that had been a Christmas gift last year. A stretchy Italian top with fluttering sleeves. I hadn't worn it since the one time I put it on to try it on at Xmas. It's pretty, sensual the way Italian fashion is, supposed to be a feminine figure enhancing flutter top. Everyone thought it was gorgeous when I unwrapped it and held it up. But my gut was so big when I put it on to model for everyone, it unfortunately looked like patterned clingwrap stretched around a bulging sausage. I was so ashamed. It was so tight on my bust you could see my bra like it had been engraved in the material. It was a regular size M.

Stopping drinking, mostly, for 2 months since September has been an interesting experience. Not only the money and calories saved by not buying alcohol, and other unhealthy habits (I used to grab packs of japanese peanuts and chips and salsa for dinner, from the chip aisle next to the wine aisle, now I cook real food for meals), but the biggest difference has been the new energy and sudden amount of free time that I have for things like mowing the grass, painting, little projects like adding a frame to a bathroom mirror. I'm not working out in a gym, but am mowing the yard every week, moving things, building things, staining and sealing wood, measuring, cutting, etc.

Anyway I pulled the Italian shirt out of the closet on a whim and put it on today. It fits perfect, like a normal top. I couldn't believe it, I'm even wearing it right now. How even my body has changed with only about 50 days without my daily wine, less time groggy in bed, preparing healthy food, and more time spent outside. I've lost a little bit of weight, but more dramatically is the way my body has reproportioned itself, less bloat, less gut, smaller waist.
