Your thoughts on fasting? Not IF - literally not eating for days.

I recently found myself on a sub where people talk about fasting for days at a time. My experience has been that days where I don't eat I'll lose 3-4lbs (a lot of that probably being what was in my stomach the day before and water). If a couple of days of fasting would break through my plateau I'm open to trying it, but I want to know what you all think. I'm already doing CICO and it's working well, but the closer I am to onederland the more my weight loss slows down.

I've seen in the sub people will talk about not eating for an entire weekend, or several days, and then break their fast. I'm not sure if this is the same as starving oneself, but then I am not sure what the difference is.

I just want to do this right, but my plateau is defeating and I'm willing to do anything to break through it. However, I don't want to put my health at risk. I posted something similar there but it got downvoted so I'm not sure what that's about.
