Ya'll, I just hit ONEDERLAND!!! (244lbs > 199lbs = -45lbs)

This is my first ever reddit post, and I honestly never thought I'd make a post, even when (not if!) I hit my goal, but here I am! I almost hit onederland a couple of weeks ago. I woke up to go pee, weighed 200.8, and went back to bed thinking I might actually reach onederland today! Welp, I woke up, peed, pooed, and weighed myself again at exactly 200.0. How fucking rude, right?! Just had to wait a couple more weeks. I hit 198.8 today!

How I got here and got started: I've gained and lost and gained and lost throughout my life like pretty much everyone else here, but I had never gotten over ~200 before. When I look back at when this gain started, I was in a very... unaffectionate relationship. He noticed I gained, and when I noticed that he was becoming even more distant, he was honest and let me know that he wasn't attracted to me like he was before. This is not exactly very motiviating for me, and I would struggle to stay in a deficit for even a day. Well, I finally got out of that relationship, and I started dating the complete opposite. Someone that doesn't push me either way and has always told me that I am perfect, which really made me want to be the best version of myself because that's what he deserves! If I didn't have him, this would've been so much more daunting, and chances are, I would've given up already.

I started out April of this year at 244lbs. I kept noticing little things up until that point that should've been my signs to start this journey, but the thing that really got me was struggling to put on my shoes in the morning, and TMI, feeling like it was actual work trying to wipe myself clean after a good ol' BM. Basically, anything that had to do with bending.

How I got it to work for me this time around: I have consistently had a goal of 1200-1400 cals on avg each day, started using a TDEE calculating spreadsheet, I use MFP of course, weigh my food, and pack my breakfast/lunch. I have gone back and forth between super clean eating and eating processed foods, just kind of whatever I am comfortable with at the time but still within my goal. If I get sick of something, I stop eating it for a while and sure enough, I'll start craving it again after a few weeks. I allow myself to eat up to maintenance throughout the weekends, usually drinking with friends (if I couldn't have that, I would never have gotten this far!). I've had times here and there where I'll go for a walk a couple of nights, then it stops, so that's the extent of my exercise right now lol. I really do want to get back into weightlifting, but I'm trying to find the time. I barely get the hours I need for sleep as it is, only really have time to exercise at night, and have a really bad problem getting motion sick at the end of the day on the bus/train home from work :( I know, they're all excuses, but it is what it is, and I know I'll figure it out eventually!

Oh, and OBVIOUSLY, This sub has helped immensely! Especially through plateaus! I've suggested this to a few people that have also started their journey. What a great supportive community to have! So, thank you all so much and good luck to us all!!!!!!!
