New York Times article debunking claim that 95% of obese people gain all weight back

Good Morning, Everyone, Just a quick public service announcement in the wake of the all the posts and comments in r/loseit about the recent Huffington Post article about obesity and how 95%-98% of obese people who lose a substantial amount of weight gain it back, and then some.

This 1999 article from The New York Times debunks that claim and explains how that number got erroneously twisted, and propogated, over the following four decades. I savored every word of this article because it basically washed away my mistaken belief, clung to for so long, that I was only doomed to gain back any weight I lost.

I hope you get the same amount of relief from reading it that I do. This article will absolutely be part of my ongoing strategies and toolkit (CICO, giving up added sugar) and I believe it will help you too. We all got this!
