Hello, I have never posted here and I don't even know if this kind of questions are acceptable. If they're not and there's another subreddit more able to answer this, don't hesitate to tell me.
I'm 25 years old. Since I started university and stopped playing in a basketball team that made me exercise daily, my weight increased from 75-78kg to more or less 105kg in 4-5 years. I'm 184 cm tall or nearly 6'1, so I'm fat. Not too much to a point where I can't exercise or whatever, but to a point where I didn't feel comfortable with myself and I was tired of being the "big" guy.
It's a long story, but I spent around 40 days in a University in the US(New York) in an english course for a graduate program. During that period of time, my diet wasn't exactly super healthy but I walked and exercised a lot, so my weight went from more or less 105kg(I didn't measure exactly) to 101.5 when I arrived home 40 days later.
People I knew thought I had thinned quite a bit and for the first time in a long time I was motivated for some reasons(Love may be one of them) to keep going and try to get to my old shape again.
My days now that I'm on vacations till October consist on waking up at 8:30, having two glasses of water, having breakfast at 9:30, either corn flakes or muesli with milk and sugar, go for a one hour(more or less 5km) walk at 11:30, spend another 30 minutes at home lifting weights and other strenght training exercises, then eating at 2:30-3:00 pm, almost always grilled chicken breast or some fish, either salmon or bass or things like that, with either salad, pasta, rice, or boiled potatoes. Then a yogurt and some pieces of fruit, either bananas or peaches or melon or whatever I have.
I rest or do meaningless stuff in the afternoon, then at 7:30pm I go for another one hour walk and when I get back I do another 30 more minutes of strength training.
After that, I'm not usually hungry, so I just eat a yogurt and another piece of fruit, then go to bed at 12 or 1 am.
I've been doing this since I arrived home August 13, weighting 101.5 kg, and nowadays(September 12) I weigh 93.0 kg before lunch.
So I lost 8.5 kg in a month, and to be honest I feel really good with myself, I drink A LOT of water, I'm only hungry in the mornings before I have breakfast, I haven't been tempted to eat unhealthy foods(and I live with my brother who eats like shit but he's skinny no matter what), but I've read in many sites that it is not sustainable to lose that much weight in a very short period of time
