50 Pounds in 6 Months, on the McDonald's Diet

...Hear me out.

First up, not advocating this as an actual diet, saying it's the best way, or even particularly sustainable or healthy. But it does have some things going for it. It's ubiquitous, it's fast (which is helpful for me right now), and it's standardized. An 800 calorie meal from there fills me up, and even if I have to do two in a day (this applies to fast food in general), I'm easily able to stay inside my calorie budget.

So anyway. I had my doctor's appointment on Monday, I got my weight. I'm down 50 pounds. Sticking to a 2300 calorie budget (which should be near maintenance on my goal weight), along with consciously moving more and weekly trips to the gym, and I've started making serious progress. Felt like I needed to share. CICO really is amazing for me; it lets me barely change my eating habits as far as WHAT I eat, but reins in the amount. Some food has fallen out to very occasional snacks, because they don't fit into my calories, but I don't feel starved or deprived. This, coupled with IF leaves me actually looking forward to meals, instead of them being habit and grazing being because I'm bored.

One down, four to go.
