New perspective: body fat as fuel

This idea just hit me:

What if, instead of thinking "I want to lose 10 lbs" , I think "I have 35,000 calories to burn" ? And the calorie amount is not meant to sound discouraging or impossible, but kind of a nice thing to marvel at?

Your body has stored up this energy, really handy in emergency food shortages, which is already a feat of civilization, given how difficult food collection used to be. But now, you've decided that burning some of this fuel would make you a more efficient and happier animal, and that's why you're embarking on this process/journey.

It's not a journey out of disgust or hate of yourself, but just a realization that hey, you don't need to carry all this extra energy on you right now, and you can use up some of this supply.
