14 year old boy trying to lose weight, family kinda holding me back.

Okay, so currently (12/08/2018) I weigh 15 stone exactly and I've been trying to lose weight since February. Everything was going well until the start of this month when I noticed I started gaining weight and I was so confused because I was working so hard on cardio AND weights. I then thought that I need to manage the way I eat... Here's the problem, my parents split up years ago and my dad (who I live with on weekdays) isn't the best at cooking, the food he makes is nice but it isn't exactly the healthiest. My mum however makes great food but I only stay with her on weekends. Me being 14 I have no idea how to cook (I do know how to use an oven), I'm taking a food tech course in school and it's 80% theory which is pretty much useless. I'm trying to think of ways I can sort of overcome this problem because I've been going to the gym 4 days a week for 1 hour (30 minutes cardio, 30 minutes weights) and I'm starting to feel like I should give up. What do I do. I feel like my dad is holding me back.
