I am a little nervous since this is my first time posting here but seeing others weight loss has really inspired me and today I finally hit 55 lbs of weight lost and I really felt like sharing.
Ever since I was 10, I was always on the bigger side. My mom and older sister were also big and both had gastric bypass surgeries because they were in terrible spots in terms of health. That left me as the sole fat person in my family where I topped out at a whopping 323 lbs. That was in January 2018. February 20, 2018, my brother shipped out to basic training for the US Army and that was the day I started my weight loss. He has been my biggest inspiration throughout this entire time. I started tracking every single thing I ate on MFP and have been following CICO strictly the last couple months. I was going to the gym 5 times a week doing cardio and strength training but have since cut that down just a little bit. I also started hiking on the weekends to mix it up ( I must say, hiking is now one of my favorite hobbies!). As of today, I am at 268 lbs. That is 55 lbs lost. I still have 68 more lbs to lose to reach my goal but with the help of this subreddit, I have found motivation and strength in me that I never knew I had.
Losing weight was something I dreaded at first but now, I can't wait to make progress and make myself better than I was yesterday. Keep up the great work everyone!
