One meal a day advice - Hate my fat body

I've gained over 20kg in about two or three years time. Going from average to now just in the obese section of my BMI.

Over that period I had illness after illness and depression all that good stuff. I hate how fat I've become and I l've gotten rid of all the stuff that I was able to fit into in uni.

Because I have no self control, putting strict limits on myself is usually the best thing. However the problem is; meal prep and taking stuff with me happens for a while until I am really late one morning or sick and everything just comes to a standstill.

Anyway, because of that I'm thinking of going for one meal a day diet so that I can prepare a large healthy meal for myself in the evening and just not think about it during the day.

Obviously hunger will be difficult in the first few days, but honestly I've forgotten what it's like to be hungry I just always eat!

To prevent lightheadedness I'm planning to perhaps allow myself to have (low calorie) fruits during the day but not sure if that will be a good idea.

CICO is obv. the main thing on this sub, but just looking for some general advice from people that have done this before/similar
