NSV: Parents edition

I've always always ways felt so weird mentioning to my parents when im eating better. One reason is because my mom has had issues with her weight for her whole life and lately she's been struggling because she's gained a little weight back.

I also feel super self conscious about my weight and hate when they comment on anything about it so I naturally avoid the topic.

But today I told them I've lost 13 pounds. I just said it. And was proud of losing it. I got nothing but compliments and a good job and one very bad dad joke about "watching what he eats..donuts..pie...pizza.." lol.

I feel good emotionally right now even if it was for me bragging a little.
