If you struggle with binge eating or emotional eating...

You absolutely need to read this book:

Overcoming Binge Eating: The Proven Program to Learn Why You Binge and How You Can Stop

After reading post after post from people who struggle the same way I have, I feel compelled to share.

My weight problems began with a sharp decline in activity and an increase in boredom eating when I was in middle school. Ever since then, my relationship with food has deteriorated. It started with off and on emotional eating, then nearly constant emotional eating, and now an off and on binge eating problem. This book helped me recover from a severe, prolonged binging episode and brought me halfway out of a deep depression. The book provides a few key ingredients for success.

  1. It's entirely evidenced based. (No guesstimates, judgement, or fads here)
  2. It provides relevant information (gathered from real sufferers) to help you understand what causes binge eating problems, what type of people struggle with binge eating problems, and how people can recover from it. (Thus providing a sense that you are NOT in any way alone)
  3. It has a step by step, totally doable program for recovery.

I have used this program multiple times to quell my binge eating, and often refer to its informative sections to remind myself that there is NOTHING WRONG with who I am. There IS the possibility (and if you follow the program to the letter, a large probability) that you will recover.
