EAT THE CHICKEN NUGGETS!

Yes, you read that title correctly.

(I just want to say really quickly, thank you so much for everyone who responded to my post yesterday. The replies and support meant the world to me, and the sense of community lead me to wanting to share some of my thoughts here again!)

Life is all about BALANCE. Weight loss is all about being able to stay on track for the long haul and not making yourself feel deprived or miserable.

I’m trying to make this weight loss journey into a lifestyle and something I can implement for the foreseeable future. This means I am finding ways I can still go out with friends, order in with my family, and eat the things I sometimes crave without the guilt.

Weight loss can be simple: calories in vs. calories burned.

If you eat 1500 calories a day, and 500 on them is on a 10 piece nugget...you haven’t derailed and you haven’t messed up and you don’t have to feel bad about yourself.

It’s not a healthy mindset to look at foods as good vs. bad. I’ve definitely struggled with this before. But any food, in moderation, is okay.

It really is okay.

Find joy in the fact that you can still enjoy some of your favorite foods during the process as long as you plan it well and don’t go overboard.

Don’t demonize food.

Don’t make yourself miserable.

It’s all about balance.

I just wanted to put this out there in case someone needs to hear this, because I definitely needed to at many times during these past couple of months.

Eat the chicken nuggets.
