Anyone else feel like they don't know what they really look like?

I'm a 5"8 female at around 166 lbs now. I go back and forth on how I feel personally about my body. Sometimes I feel like I finally look like a normal, average/thin person, and sometimes I feel like the stereotypical beached whale who could stand to lose another 40 lbs. I feel like I don't have an accurate gauge on how I truly look. Especially since I hear comments that appear to run the gamut from "you're so thin/fit" to "you could definitely stand to lose another 20." Anyone else have this problem? If so, how do you get a read on how you REALLY look?
