Karnataka Election Results 2018 LIVE Updates: Kumaraswamy or Yeddyurappa - who'll be CM?
Karnataka Election Results 2018 LIVE Updates: Despite emerging as the single largest party, BJP is falling short the magical 112-seat mark for simple majority in the Karnataka Assembly final election results. Meanwhile, JD(S) has accepted Congress' proposal of alliance, with Deve Gowda's son Kumaraswamy to be the chief minister of the proposed alliance government.
The JD(S) and Congress are likely to approach the Governor with a letter of support to put forward their demand to form a government in the state. Meanwhile, top BJP leaders have rushed to the poll-bound state to handle the political turmoil, that was already predicted by pollsters.
The counting of votes for 222 of the 224 Assembly seats is being carried out across at 58,546 polling stations at nearly 38 counting centres. Polling for R R Nagar seat was deferred on account of alleged electoral malpractices, while it was countermanded in Jayanagar seat following the death of the BJP candidate.
